What if you don't have to know what you need?
THE CREATIVE PAUSE
A little space for wellbeing, creativity & wonder.
Here's a question I've been thinking about lately:
What if you don't have to know exactly what you need in order to give yourself permission to pause?
In a recent conversation on my Breaking Patterns podcast, Rooted Within Wellness founder Vicky Lynn Andritsch and I explored something that really resonated with me: So many of us are accustomed to caring for others, solving problems, and managing responsibilities that even the idea of taking time for ourselves can feel like another decision we have to justify.
But what if we didn't?
This connects to something I've been exploring in my work called Creative Health: the idea that our wellbeing isn't supported by rest alone, but also by the experiences that reconnect us with curiosity, creativity, connection, and possibility.
Sometimes that looks like writing a poem. Sometimes it's wandering somewhere beautiful, having an unexpected conversation, or simply stepping outside your everyday routine long enough to hear yourself think.
And sometimes, the most important thing we can do is give ourselves permission to show up without an agenda.
🎧 A conversation worth sharing
Vicky brings a beautiful perspective to this idea through her own experiences with caregiving and creating restorative retreat spaces.
Our conversation on Breaking Patterns is a reminder that we don't always need to arrive with the answers.
A little wonder on the horizon...

This philosophy is at the heart of Reclaiming Wonder, my immersive Creative Health retreat for women ready to reconnect with themselves, their creativity, and their sense of possibility.
